Bien occupée - Busy as a bee

Il me reste encore 1 mois et demi pour me préparer au marché de Noël de Chatenoy le Royal où je vais exposer. Je passe mon temps à de petites bricoles très rapides, simples, et (je trouve) très jolies.

I still have 1 month and a half to get ready for the Christmas market I will participate to in Chantenoy le Royal. I'm crocheting little things, quick to make, very simple, and (I think) very pretty.

C'est le genre de rack que l'on trouve en coffret cadeau un peu partout, et que j'ai récupéré et customisé (un petit coup de peinture, une bande de masking tape sur le bas, et le tour est joué!)

This is the kind of rack you find over Christmas as a present. I upcycled it and customized it (a little paint, some masking tape at the bottom, and that's it!) 

Dans la troupe, un nouveau super héros. J'espère mettre en ligne le modèle dès la semaine prochaine.

Si vous avez des bouts de laine qui trainent, et 1 heure devant vous, laissez-vous tenter par ces chouettes porte-monnaies! Le modèle vient de ce site. C'est encore en anglais, mais comme le modèle est simple, j'espère que vous vous y retrouverez. J'en ai fait un, et ensuite, je n'ai pas pu m'arrêter. J'ai tenté avec un crochet 3.5 (au 1er plan), un 4, et un 4.5 (celui du fond). Le 4.5 est le plus adapté, et le porte-monnaie fait une taille correcte. 

Laissez-vous aussi tenter!!

I've made one, and then couldn't stop. I've tried with E (foreground), G and H (background) hooks. I think the G hook is the best size-wise for the purse to have a correct size.

Hexagone Granny au point popcorn - Popcorn stitch granny hexagon

Un petit Granny histoire de bien finir le week-end, et c'est cadeau! Je dois finir d'assembler le tout et rajouter une doublure, puis je vous montrerai le résultat.

A little Granny to end well this week-end, and it's for free! I must finish sewing the pieces together, and add a lining, then I will show you the final result.

(Point popcorn: je l'ai fait avec 4 brides)
Commencer par 6 ml, et 1 mc dans la 1ère maille pour former un cercle.
Rang 1: 5 ml (compte pour 1 bride et 2 ml), *1 bride, 1 popcorn, 1 bride, 2 ml*. Répéter de * à * encore 4 fois, 1 bride, 1 popcorn, 1 mc dans la 3ème ml du début. Couper le fil et changer de couleur

Rang 2: 1 mc coulée dans l'intervalle de 2 ml avec l'autre couleur. 3 ml, *1 bride dans les 4 brides du rang précédent, et 1 bride-2 ml-1 bride dans l'intervalle de 2 ml*. Répéter de * à * et finir le tour par 1 mc.

Rang 3: 1 ml, 1 ms dans la même maille, puis faire 1 ms dans chaque maille, sauf dans les 2 ml du rang précédent où vous devez faire 3 ms. Finir par 1 mc.

(Popcorn stitch: I made it with 4 dc)

Start with ch 6, then sl st in 1st stitch to make a circle.
Round 1: ch 5 (counts as 1 dc and ch2), *1 dc, 1 popcorn, 1 dc, ch2*. Repeat from * to * 4 more times, 1 dc, 1 popcorn, 1 sl st in the 3rd chain from the beginning. Cut the yarn and change color.

Round 2: sl st until the next ch2 space with the other color. ch3, *1 dc in each of the next 4 dc from previous round, et 1 dc-ch2-1 dc in the ch 2-space*. Repeat from * to * and finish with a slip stitch.

Round 3: ch1, 1 sc in same stitch, then make 1 sc in each stitch, except in the ch2-space where you have to make 3 sc. Finish with a slip stitch.

Pour le "demi-granny", il faut commencer par 4 ml pour former le cercle, et tourner le travail entre chaque rang. 
Pour le rang 1, il faut commencer par 3 ml (pour 1 bride), puis un popcorn, ... et finir par popcorn, 1 bride. 
Pour le rang 2, il faut commencer et finir par 1 bride dans les 3 brides du rang précédent (pour ce rang, vous devez avoir l'envers face à vous).
Pour le rang 3: même méthode que l'hexagone.
J'espère que c'est compréhensible, sinon, demandez-moi de l'aide!

For the "half granny", you have to start with 4 ch to make the circle, and turn your work at the end of every row. 
For round 1, you have to start with 3 ch (stand for 1 dc), then a popcorn,... and finish popcorn, 1 dc.
For round 2, you have to start and finish with 1 dc in the next 3 dc from previous round (This round is made with the wrong side facing you).
For round 3: same as the hexagon.
I hope it makes sense, otherwise ask for help!

Chouette kit de printemps

 
J'ai démarré les projets de mon chouette kit de printemps (j'ai quasiment tout fait), et aujourd'hui je vous présente la pièce maîtresse.
Les chouettes kits, j'en avais déjà parlé ici, ici et ici. Et tout avait démarré là. 

I've started working on my spring "chouette kit" (I've nearly done everything), and today I present to you the masterpiece.
I've already talked about the "chouette kits", here, here and here. And it all started there. 

Succès total: mon fils a sauté dessus, et a trouvé que ses cartes Pokemon seraient les plus heureuses du monde dans le ventre du poisson. Je suis donc plutôt contente du résultat.

En revanche, j'ai fait une erreur stupide: j'ai cousu la "bouche" à la fin. De ce fait, les nageoires latérales sont mal positionnées, et on les voit à peine. Je devrais les découdre, et les repositionner, mais je ne peux pas: mon fils est si amoureux de son poisson (et des cartes Pokemon) qu'il le trimballe partout où il va. 

Total success: my son  jumped on it and found that his Pokemon cards would the happiest in the fish's belly. So I'm pretty happy with the result.
However, I've done the dumbest mistake: I sewed the "mouth" at the the end. therefore my side fins are not correcty positionned, and you can barely see them. I should really remove them and sew them again correctly, but I can't: my son is so in love with his fish (and Pokemon cards) that he carries it everywhere he goes.

J'ai fait le bracelet qu'il y avait dans le kit, mais avec les perles en plastique, le résultat fait vraiment toc, et je ne crois pas que je le porterai (je n'ai même pas envie de vous le montrer). Il va donc rester sagement dans un coin, jusqu'à ce que je lui trouve une utilité. Peut-être un jour se trouvera-t-il au poignée du poupée. J'ai utilisé certaines perles qui me restaient pour fabriquer un bracelet à cette mignonne.

I've done the bracelet that was in the kit, but the pearls are in plastic, and the result seems fake, so I don't think I'll ever wear it (I don't even want to show it to you). So it will quiely stay in some dark corner, until I find it a use. Maybe one day it will be on the wrist of a doll. I've already used some of the leftover pearls to make a bracelet for this cutie.

Porte-Monnaie/Coin Purse: ils sont là!

 
Ca y est, j'ai enfin pris le temps d'écrire le modèle de mon petit porte-monnaie, et il est disponible sur ma boutique Etsy.

A partir du modèle, vous pourrez confectionner un porte-monnaie à 3 fleurs de chaque côté, ou bien à 2 fleurs de chaque côté. Il mesure à peu près 10.5 cms  par 7 cms (au crochet 3.5)

I've finally taken the time to wirte down the pattern of my small coin purse, and you can find it in my Etsy shop.

 With this pattern, you can choose to either make the purse with 3 flowers on each side, or  with only 2 flowers  on each side. It is approximately 4.6 inches by 2.7 (crochet hook E)

Après plusieurs tentatives, j'ai enfin trouvé mon porte-monnaie!!

After a few attempts, I have found MY coin purse!!

Il ne reste plus qu'à écrire le modèle, retoucher toutes les photos, corriger les erreurs... Facile, quoi!
Et comme en ce moment, je suis débordée au boulot, j'ai moins de temps à consacrer à mon autre boulot.

I only need to write the pattern, edit the pictures, correct mistakes... Piece of cake!!
And, right now at work, I'm soo busy, I have less time to spend on my other job.

Prototype no. 2 - Porte-monnaie - Purse

J'y suis presque! J'ai corrigé les erreurs de mon premier essai, et là, je suis plutôt satisfaite. Par contre, je dois me rendre à l'évidence, le porte-monnaie n'est pas des plus pratiques. L'ouverture est beaucoup trop petite.  Même si je l'avais fait uniquement en tissu, il faudrait vraiment avoir des mini doigts. Ma crèmerie habituelle n'a pas de modèle plus grand, je vais devoir fouiller sur le net pour trouver mon bonheur.
Pour la laine, j'ai utilisé la laine Cabourg de Bergère de France. Ils ne la font plus malheureusement, car elle est vraiment très belle.

I'm almost there! I've corrected all the mistakes I made with my first attempt, and I'm pretty happy with the result. But, I must say that this coin purse isn't THAT practical. The opening is way too small. Even if I had made it only with fabric, you should really have tiny fingers to reach the bottom of the purse. My usual dealer doesn't have bigger clasps, so I have to search the net to find what I'm looking for. 

As for the yarn I used Cabourg from Bergère de France. Unfortunately it's not manufactured anymore; it's a shame, as it's a really gorgeous yarn.
